Cleaning the Oven the Natural Way

I must confess … a clean oven has never been a priority for me. I have never been a big fan of the self-cleaning oven due to the intense smell. I dreaded using spray-on oven cleaners for the same reason. Thankfully, I stumbled upon an easy method that uses only baking soda, water, and vinegar!

  1. Remove racks from oven
  2. Make a baking soda and water paste in small bowl
  3. Spread the paste on the oven door, walls, bottom using your hands or a basting brush
  4. Let stand for 3 hours
  5. Spray with vinegar to moisten
  6. Scrub with abrasive pad
  7. Use paper towels to remove
  8. Wipe out oven with wet rag
